How do you play piano sheet music with the lyrics?

I’ve had this issue with other piano pieces before but for example: http://www.scribd.com/doc/7702534/Boston-Augustana is the one I am currently trying to play but I don’t understand how you play the tune when there are two separate ways you can play the right hand. My piano teachers been saying that the notes on the very top are for the people who are singing the song and to ignore all the notes above the lyrics which I find difficult if you want to follow the tune. Some piano sheet music have the tune integrated within the notes already (condensed) but how do you play pieces like this? I’ve played for 11 years except only classical pieces so answering this question will clear a lot of other pieces up for me that I am having the same issues with. Thanks for reading this because I know its long aka I know I have trouble explaining myself clearly xD.

What would happen if you used piano sheet music to play a song on 2 guitars?

I play piano already, so naturally I am used to the treble and bass clefs. I also play electric guitar and I will be getting a bass in half a month or so. I already play the treble clef of my piano music with my electric guitar and I’ve read that the bass guitar is written with the bass clef, so would it work if I did a duet with someone using piano sheet music and played the treble with the electric guitar and the bass with the bass guitar?

How do you tell how much rosin to have on a violin bow string? Can you use piano sheet music to play a violin

I am using Hill dark rosin. Does having a light coat of rosin dust on the strings after one song mean too much? Sometimes the bow squeaks while playing, but just up on the last 3rd of the tip end and with a little pressue on the bow this stops. Also can you use piano sheet music to play a violin or does violin music have to be specificly writtin for a violin? Any help would be appreciated. I am learning on my own. Thank you John
